About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Agricultural Equipment Technician to join their essential support team in Welkom. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of a diverse fleet of agricultural machinery, ensuring that our farming operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of tractors, harvesters, planters, and other vital farm equipment. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, possesses strong mechanical aptitude, and understands the critical importance of equipment uptime in a demanding agricultural environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of agricultural machinery and vehicles. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on farm equipment. Conduct scheduled inspections to identify and address potential problems before they cause breakdowns. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed. Operate workshop equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure the proper functioning and safety of all equipment used in field operations. Requirements Trade qualification as a mechanic or technician, preferably with experience in heavy machinery or agricultural equipment.
